More About the Artist:

Yunroo is a multidisciplinary creative based in Malaysia.  Since graduating from Middlesex University London in 2015, Yunroo has worked with major design and publishing agencies worldwide. Her most current project includes serving as a commissioned artist for Urbanscapes AR mobile app, and as a guest speaker at Make It Happen.

Her colorful and humorous illustrations have proved popular with corporations and social organizations. This resulted in her illustrated children’s book “Grandma and the Things That Stay the Same” being shortlisted as Best Children's Book Award for both Singapore Book Awards 2017 and Asian Festival of Children's Content (AFCC) 2017.

Trained in Design Communication, Yunroo believes that it is important to convey key messages through art. She focuses on simultaneously communicating these messages through her works, yet effectively sharing a larger amount of information hidden within the fun and energetic worlds of her illustrations.

Once a resident in Singapore, London, and Batu Pahat, Yunroo now lives and works out of a small studio apartment in Kuala Lumpur and teaches at a local art college.
